Our Aims

We exist to create a greater community spirit and to improve the profile of the village, villagers and all our residents, local businesses, schools, university.

About Us

One Kegworth is a group of like-minded individuals dedicated to bringing the village of Kegworth together as one community. Our committee is comprised of passionate village residents, business owners, professionals, and University students who all share a love for where they live.

Throughout the year, we organise a variety of events, including the popular Christmas in the Market Place, the Easter Charter Market, Gentlefolk Christmas Party and Parcels, Pop Up Food bank at Christmas and other smaller gatherings that engage and connect the entire village. Our goal is to create opportunities for fun, community bonding, and new experiences for everyone in Kegworth. By working together, we aim to foster a strong sense of community while also attracting visitors to explore all that Kegworth has to offer. Supporting local businesses, clubs, and societies is a key priority for us, and we are committed to showcasing the rich variety of activities available in the village. Our events are accessible, enjoyable, and designed to bring the community closer—something you won’t want to miss!

Our One Kegworth Walking Guides

Explore our lovely village of Kegworth, Derbyshire with free guided walks. Designed to introduce you to the history and places of interest within the streets of ‘Kegurth’. Each route is easily accessible to all and makes for a pleasant diversion before heading to a local café for cake, or pub for a spot of lunch.

Pubs Past & Present Walk

In 1901 Kegworth’s population was around 2100 and there were 14 pubs. Three breweries also came and went, with the last disappearing in 1924. This heritage trail celebrates their history and invites you to support those that are still in operation.
